The new Kindle Fire
by Amazon looks like a nice solution for many wanting to get into the tablet movement but don’t want to spend the money many of the other tablets are commanding. On the web, The Kindle Fire is being compared primarily to the Apple iPad 2.
However, I think it will also offer solid competition for just about every other tablet out there. This is mainly because of the price, $199 and the specs it offers.

Spent the morning playing with Windows 8 in my Virtual Box setup. Tried out a couple of things and it is really smooth. Only problem I had was with sound output with VirtualBox. Just changed the setting to Intel HD Audio and that fixed it.
One nice thing about Windows 8 is I’m not seeing the bugs I saw with the Windows 7 Betas. Granted this thing isn’t fully done but if this release is any indication, microsoft has really out done themselves this time.
